    As a super market employee, there is no one left to cut. They’ve all already been cut over the years.

    Nearly every store I’ve worked in or even shopped in is running on a bare bones crew.

    And yet… year on year record breaking profits.

    Reduction of the threshold and nmw should stay IMO. I think they should stop the rise in NI premiums.

    Or at the very least defer until April 2026 . Retailers are right to complain imo as they cost increase is extreme as a whole.

    There’s better ways to raise funds. But given it’s £8.5b per year I doubt the government will announce any changes.

  4. Every time any tax is increased for corporations, corporations say it’s gonna result in jobs being cut.

    “Our profits increased 5% last year… we can’t cope with a 0.1% increase in our costs…”
