They are too lazy to implement a special data usage counter in the app for the “unlimited” case, so that page in the app has an arbitrary but large upper limit in order for the usual data usage counter to work.
There is no actual data cap, the upper limit is *only* for this view in the app.
It seems a bit as if it is estimating your monthly? usage. Maybe 976 ist what you used your previous month?
wow you used more mobile data within a month than i have ever used since the first smartphone came out.

Funkzelle mit einer geringeren Priorität transportiert.”… maybe it’s related to this.
At the same time, there are some other network carriers (in other countries) that say it’s unlimited, but after a certain data volume, they cap your speed, this may also be true here, but I could not find anything in a quick search in the pdf
