Honestly? Fuck this, I don’t care if an Indian or Chinese wants a SUV. Force them to reduce their emissions **right the fuck now**.

How come the US of A had way larger emissions in the second half of the nineteenth century ?

No shit, Europe produces only a fraction of what China does.

That levelling off for both China and USA looks very optimistic.

So United States and European Union want us to buy their electric vehicles and to reduce our emissions through dozens of absurd measures, while they are still speaking on how they are working on it. It’s well obvious that China will not listen to Western “good advices” and will continue to use fossil fuels for the next hundred years.

US emissions are ridiculously high though, considering that the US has less than half of the population of Europe. Insane.

Yeah but us Europeans are saving the world by crippling our economies with high energy prices so we’re still winning :)!!!!

And how are they doing per-capita?

Remember that every single thing we do to curb our emmissions like banning internal combustion engines or plastic straws or getting those insanely annoying attached caps on bottles will all be completely meaningless because the rest of the world will not play along.

What is the point on cummulative emissions? If you calculate the commulative of dinosaurs fart for their millions of years period of time it will destroy Human ones…
Also you should take in account the effect of plants on minimizing the CO2 emitted and therefore net each other…
All this climate change is bullshit and nonesense, and if you deliver infomation in such a way that is impactful people will go like OHHHH, but still a piece of bs…

that would be like people from 1948 making predictions about our current tech abilities
we will engineer our way out, the actual graph will look nowhere near this

China’s emissions on a per capita basis remain significantly lower than those of most European countries and the United States. Besides, speaking of cumulative emissions, Europe began industrializing in the 18th and 19th centuries, well before China. This earlier start means Europe has had a much longer period of high emissions.
Add to the above, a substantial portion of China’s emissions comes from the production of goods exported to Europe and other regions. So, should emissions be attributed to the producer or the consumer?

Does anyone know, how much of Chinas CO2 production is due to products, Europe and the US are consumeing?
China pollutes when they produce products for the European and U.S markets as well..
