Hungary’s real problem is its economy. They are making a lot of noise, but actually they are not relevant in the modern world (no innovation, no production). They have now ditched all values and ethics. I’m not surprised at all that they expect EU to pay for their switch from Russian oil to other producers.

Can be arranged if they reinstate the independent judiciary and cut off the ruskis!

The state didn’t accept the money to upgrade the pipelines or build an oil terminal is Croatia. The boss of this guy cried for 4 years, that it’s impossible to switch, because the pipelines are not good enought from Croatia to do this. The foreign ministry and the eco ministry cried, because Croatia wanted more money for the transportation of oil in the said pipelines than what they reckoned is a fair price.
Now one of the lower bosses doing this interview. Almost as if, it was possible to switch from it, but they just wanted the extra profit they collected all these years getting that cheap oil and selling it at the “regional” price.

For a price? You mean for a discount? Wasn’t there a recent article showing they were paying more for Russian oil than what’s in the open market?

Can’t the EU just get rid of Hungary? It had been a pain in the ass for way too long.

If somebody ask me where I’m from, I’ll stop saying Hungary.
(These bastards only buy Russian oil because that’s where they make most of their money)

Why should it? The whole EU buys it over 3rd countries who buys it from Russian. Or should we say Russia is selling its oild over 3rd countries to EU.

So this is a shakedown? What leverage does Hungary even have to make this kind of demand? The EU could just cut off all funding until they comply.

If the Hungarians are the only troublemakers in Europe who are counteracting the agreed policy of oil sanctions, then they should take responsibility for it and pay for it themselves. Absolutely no understanding for that! Instead they go around Europe and demand that WE pay for it? Let them go begging and scrounging in vain…

It will quit eventually, it’s not a question of if.
That’s why they’re making so many deals with Aliyev and Azerbaijan.

Wont they have to quit when Ukraine stops allowing the passage of oil/gas when the contract ends on 1/1/25?
