By Ed Moloney, one of the most significant journalists of The Troubles, about “Say Nothing” by Patrick Radden Keefe. Relevant again now that Keefe has helped Disney adapt his book for streaming.

Moloney quite rightly has an axe to grind with Keefe here.

I am going to be honest, though, and say I really expected the article to call out a lot more inaccuracies than it actually does. For me, the core tenets of the story remain the same. This seems mainly to be an article about Keefe passing other people’s work off as his own.

That being said, it really does paint Keefe in a bad light professionally. It’s great to have additional context. Thanks, OP.

Very interesting. He hid his work in the pentagon from the IRA members he interviewed and ignored some information that went against the narrative of her not being a British spy.

Will read the rest later. Thanks, OP.
