You’d like to think, in that brief interaction, he saw his political career slip away.

I can’t believe rte went with a negative story like this? It’s real journalism. Are they pissed at FG?!

Yeah, sure we all know what this little man is. You’d have to be very poor at your ability to interpret body language and tone to not see this guy’s colours.

But alas, auld Paddy and Mary will vote for him
and Michael and we will all be here in another 5 years doing the same rigamarole!!

  4. Sure why would an elected official need to answer to the public? Where does she think we are?

No surprises here. Couldn’t give a shit about this woman or anyone else in the country.

Forget the rights or wrongs of the facts (for the record, she’s right and he’s wrong), but just on a human level… what a horrible man. Not a single ounce of empathy or care for another person. He’s almost a caricature of a slimy, lowlife uncaring politician. How could anyone vote for him?

His disdain for the average voter is on full display here – giving this cretin another 5 years of power will be terrible for this country – he hates us.

This guy seriously can’t get back in .. people of Wicklow do your thing

The worst part for me was that he grabbed her hand afterwards, with zero permission, and she obviously didn’t want it, and then touched her AGAIN on the shoulder.

Fucking hell. No an ounce of compassion in that man. You can tell in his pissy reply and looming body language. He looks like fuckin Gru from the minions. These are the kinds of people who always want power in high places. Why do they need to feel the rush of ruining people’s daily existence ?

Mary Lou was right with her ‘faux concern’ accusation on the last debate.

Would have been another debate last night if he wasn’t a coward afraid of being caught out.

An absolute slime ball…. How could any organization select him as it’s leader, let alone a country.

I suppose he’s earned his position through years of experience excellence in his previous positions….. Oh wait!

A “new energy” looks like ramping up intolerance of any dissenting voice.

If he’d any compassion he would have offered to sit down to hear this lady’s personal story, instead of seething with anger and contempt.

His interactions with many people on the campaign have been terrible. Really showing his true colours. He doesn’t care about the average worker.

The handshake was something else. The woman has her hand out to make a point, Harris used it as an excuse to run away.

Haven’t a clue how anyone in their right mind can see stuff like this and vote FG still. The lack of empathy and dismissal of literally any questioning or criticism is not what should be in a leader.

The disdain in which he says “No you weren’t”. He hated every second of that interaction and he’s clearly not used to speaking to people that are below him. Why would you get into politics if this is how you treat an average human person? Despicable.

This woman pays his wages, he needs to show some respect and not just throw a rehearsed “answer” at her, the days of politicians getting away with just talking the talk while just throwing tax money against a wall is fastly falling apart

As poor as he comes across here, it’s unfair to say he doesn’t care about anyone, that’s just not true. DOnt get me wrong, Im not fan of FG or FF. However, he did do some things as Taoiseach that made a difference, and in some cases took steps that previous leaders hadn’t. (E.G. Stardust). He also comes across as a leader who doesnt spread himself thin, he dives deep in to a few issues but drops the ball with others.

My take on this is that this was a bit of promo, the lady caught him off guard and he, and his team, just didnt prepare for a questionslike this. He has the look of someone who is doing a presentation in work, isnt comfortable then gets asked a curveball question that he hadn’t prepared for. Hence deer in headlights

The ending was the cherry on the cake “Well if you think I’m not a good man..” *walks away

I feel like he had to stop himself from saying something outrageous there.

I can imagine him squaring up to her and whispering “You shut your fucking mouth or I’ll shut it for you..”

    😂😂😂

  21. Very strange interaction

Like, there was measures in the budget for carers, so yer woman while understandably upset isn’t correct. Seems like an open goal to just stick to the talking points and say “we did X and Y” instead of just fucking off

  22. Airport-Total on

He comes across as very disengenous and smug in his interactions. That smirk as soon as a citizen raises a concern is galling. Pull a string in his back and he gives a talking point with this faux “I take all of this very seriously” tone but there is just no substance to Harris at all.
