C’è da chiedersi cosa sia successo in dieci anni dal suo tweet del 2014.

    Just saw this.

Very unusual… like even if you’ll don’t feel super strongly about what Israel is doing, tweeting something like those seems like a very deliberate statement (and will attract backlash). And it’s not like he’s been tweeting on the conflict recently from either perspective.

The fact he posted it, means he is stating a belief. A pretty shitty one really about appreciating getting new tech deals more than genocide, but whatevs.

Bizarre post. He knows how this will go down outside of Israel, particularly in Ireland. The only possible explanation I can think of is he’s trying to kiss some Israeli ass

The genocide in gaza is happening about 30 minutes from him, hope he enjoyed the run

This feels like the big twist when we realise Saruman got corrupted

Big mistep from someone who is quite saavy with the media.

Ridiculous thing to tweet. He must be chasing investment over there.

Isreal has deep links in global tech, I suspect that Stripe has Israeli backers and a good few Israeli employees as well. I would also suspect that Patrick has to walk a fine line between his personal beliefs, and act in the interest of his company. I don’t envy that position, and it’s very easy to hurl from the ditch and say he’s wrong. For all we know he’s using his influence to oppose what’s happening in Gaza, albeit not publicly, as that often comes with a lot of vitriol. No matter what side you are on, you’re going to get flak from someone, and sitting the fence will mean you get it from both sides.

It’s pretty tasteless just going to Israel right now never mind posting about it.

He’s a founder tech bro, they’re loyal to what makes them the most money as fast as possible

Christ that’s disappointing. He can join Bono on the list of born in Ireland but 100% yank

Probably will get downvoted but don’t think this says anything about his personal beliefs?

There are plenty of Israeli citizens who think what’s going on in Gaza is a genocide. If they post a picture of the Israeli countryside does that mean they’re suddenly letting go of that belief?

If i go to New York and post a picture of the Statue of liberty with the American flag in some part of the picture, does that mean I agree with everything america does in the world?

Maybe he just likes this running route? Visiting a country isn’t an automatic endorsement of the countries government actions.

A business deal with Israelis that insisted on a positive tweet about Israel to seal the deal…

    Never rich enough I guess.

Wonder was it a response to Kneecap’s stunt yesterday.

Perhaps Israel made him bend over and post it.

This whole genocide has given massive insight into how to Nazis managed to gain so much power and do what they did, most people honestly don’t give a fuck about anyone but themselves.
